The African Parliament of Civil Society has recently designated Algeria to organize the second edition of the International Conference of Irregular Migration which will take place from 19 to 21 November 2018 in Algiers after a selection made among five candidate African countries.

“Algeria is one of the countries with the most experience on the migratory movement” (Ali Sahel)

In a statement on Tuesday at the APS, the chairman of the organizing committee of the conference, Ali Sahel, hailed the decision taken by the African Parliament of civil society, saying that the choice of Algeria was based on several criteria, in particular “the experience acquired in organizing major international events, the potential of reception facilities and the highly qualified human resource”.
