As part of the preparations for the 2nd edition of the International Conference of NGO Members of the United Nations ECOSOC, to be held from 19 to 21 November 2018 in Algiers, the ANEJ Association, represented by Messrs Ali SAHEL and BOUOUDINA Mokhtar respectively President and member of the national office of the association ANEJ and the organizing committee of the 2nd edition of the International Conference of African Organizations Member of the ECOSOC-UN 2018 carried out a work mission to Abidjan in Ivory Coast of 06 to 09 September 2018
the delegation met with organizations and associations members of the Ivorian civil society with whom he discussed the importance of the widest participation of the African civil society associations in this conference and the importance of the theme chosen and which is the migratory question.
The President of the African Parliament of Civil Society Mr Jean Claude Kessé, chaired a working session with Mr Ali Sahel.
This session, which was held on Saturday, September 8, 2018, was an opportunity to take stock of the state of preparations for organizing the 2nd conference to be held in Algiers from November 19 to 21, 2018, In this respect, Mr Ali Sahel, President of the Conference Organizing Committee, made a broad presentation on the state of progress of the material and organizational preparations and particularly the points related to the practical modalities of participation, the number of participants registered in this respect. day, the selected themes as well as the animators and the selected panelists.
All the questions related to this conference were discussed during this meeting which saw the participation of the extended staff of the president of PASOCI.
The President of the African Parliament reiterated his support to ANEJ and Algeria for the organization of this important event, which were selected on the basis of a candidacy fulfilling all the conditions and obligations set by the established by the African Parliament. It is also committed to mobilizing a maximum of economic, institutional and civil society actors. The Speaker of the Parliament to renew to the Algerian delegation his willingness to work with all partners of the civil society for the success of this event in Algeria. He reassured Mr. Sahel about his willingness to accompany the organizing committee of the 2018 unicam.
The delegation of the ANEJ also took part as guest of honor at the award ceremony to the head of the village of Abobo Baoulé, Amondji Djongon Claude for his commitment, the quality of his work, his governance , the promotion of development, peace, social cohesion, and the integration of peoples that took place at the Palace of Friendship in the presence of the Ivorian authorities and many personalities among which, the Representative of the Prime Minister Ms. Soro Gonle, General Secretary of Abidjan Prefecture, General Director of Ageroute and Highly Honored Mayor of Abidjan, N’Koumo Mobio and Honorary Mayor of Plateau, Ahouné Firmin.
